Position Overview

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Procurement & Logistics Assistant. This role is open to SPM graduates and those with little or no prior experience — full training will be provided. You will be part of a dynamic team supporting SJEC’s daily purchasing, supplier coordination, and logistics operations for our engineering and steel fabrication projects.

Key Responsibilities

Procurement:

• Assist in sourcing suppliers and requesting price quotations for materials, equipment, and services.
• Help prepare purchase orders and follow up with suppliers on delivery dates.
• Support the team in maintaining supplier records and price lists.

Logistics & Inventory:

• Assist in arranging transport, shipping, and delivery of goods.
• Help track shipments and ensure goods arrive on time.
• Support warehouse staff with inventory updates and material handling.

Documentation & Coordination:

• Assist in preparing and filing procurement and shipping documents.
• Support the team with basic reporting and record keeping.
• Learn and follow company procedures to ensure smooth operations.

Requirements

Education & Skills:

• Minimum SPM qualification (Diploma holders are also welcome to apply).
• No experience required — fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office – Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Willingness to learn, take initiative, and work as part of a team.
• Good communication skills in Bahasa Malaysia and English (Mandarin is an advantage).

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop detailed 2D and 3D drawings for conveyor systems, including screw conveyors, belt conveyors, and bucket elevators.
• Create fabrication and assembly drawings, ensuring accuracy and compliance with industry standards.
• Collaborate with engineers to interpret technical specifications and develop optimized designs.
• Ensure design feasibility by considering load calculations, structural integrity, and material selection.
• Modify and update drawings based on engineering feedback and project requirements.
• Assist in structural steel and storage tank design, if required.
• Maintain drawing documentation and version control for each project.

• Proficiency in AutoCAD, or other relevant CAD software.
• Knowledge of engineering drawings, tolerances, and material properties.
• Experience in structural steel and storage tank design is a plus.
• Strong understanding of fabrication processes and manufacturing techniques.
